I'd love to see Tevez come in, but I doubt we'll see him (or anyone we're currently being linked with for that matter). If anyone is signed, it will be totally out of left field (sorry for the American idiom), in a similar way to Rosicky was last summer.

I don't doubt that we'll see a new signing or two, but I'd be surprised if it's anyone that's being mentioned already (this doesn't necessarily mean another 16-year-old wunderkind, just an unexpected player).

Arsenal desparetly need some backbone -- some hard-no-nonsense midfield and defense that will put a stop to the spectre of physical and crap teams taking arsenal to war (and winning often) every season ... Diaby seems hard, but we need, one more perhaps. I would like to see a top and proven defender bought in, and thus creating opportunities for Toure and Gallas and Eboue to sometimes play in midfield and provide some extra hardness.

As for captain, we have only three possible choices: stick with Gilberto, or consider promoting Gallas or Toure. I will vote Gallas for his sheer keeness to win.
